The Nobodies (Cover)
After the tragic massacre at Columbine, the media for some reason immediately blamed Marilyn Manson and published unfounded stories on the news that the troubled attackers were driven to their acts of violence by his music. There is an obvious question that comes to mind – “can music actually be blamed for someone to going on a heartfelt killing rampage?” (the answer is no, btw.)
I’ve been listening to Manson since his first albums, and have never once gone on a rampage. But aside from that, it ironically turned out that the boys were not even into Manson’s dark musical stylings and not a single Manson recording was found in their music collection.
Manson’s response was to write this song about the troubled teens and the media, and I have spent a fair bit of time adapting my own acoustic version of the song.
Recorded in one take with the same microphone for guitar and vocals in Garage Band.
